3M™ DP8005 Scotch-Weld™ Two-Part Structural Adhesive
Main feature is its ability to bond to hard-to-stick plastics. Requires little or no surface preparation even on polyethylene and provides structural strength bonds. In many applications 8005 offers the customer the opportunity to eliminate processes like corona treating, plasma treating or etching, and all surface prep steps designed to help traditional adhesives bond to substrates. This product is a two-part high performance, toughened acrylic adhesive. It has a 10:1 mix ratio and exhibits exceptional overlap shear and peel strength to most plastic surfaces. It offers an open time of 1 to 3 minutes and reaches typical handling strength in approximately 8 hours.
